GNU Free Documentation License Are extracuricular activities really important for acceptance to a good college? Q. I'm a senior in high school applying for colleges. I want to get into NYU next year but I was never involved in many activities. My family had a lot of financial problems so I had to babysit my little brothers so that my parents can make ends meat. I have a 3.8 gpa and a 28 on the act. Will the lack of extracurricular activities affect my chances of getting into NYU or any other good colleges?
