How much should an event planner/coordinator charge?
Q. I'm planning a corporate event and this is my first time doing an event on my own. I'm not sure as to how much I should charge my client. Is it better to do a flat fee? Should I do a percentage of the total cost? A combination? Only serious answers, please.

A. There are so many variables that you must consider: catering? how many will attend? Will there be alcohol? Do you need staff to wait on guests - since they all need money too - stuff like that. This venue is not always gonna get you good advice, since we do not have all the info. Have fun. And if there are glitches (there WILL be) try to incorporate them into the event as though they were intended to be there - if you can!! or apologise in a letter after the event to your immediate superior person and reduce your fee a tad.

What world event should I write on for my global governance paper?
Q. So I have to write a 5-7 page paper on a world event.. the event can't be that current because i have to use at least 3 scholarly journals and those usually take a while to write... so any ideas??!!! Also I have to use the event and describe it through the systemic levels of analysis. Systemic Analysis is one of several types of analysis that assist us in understanding the social and economic reality of which we are a part.

A. I'd suggest the theft of the 2000 U.S. presidential election by the Supreme Court, but I'm not sure if it happened long ago enough for your purposes or if you could find the "scholarly journals". The book I read was The betrayal of America, by Vincent Bugliosi. I thought it was a good and legally accurate work, but I don't know if it would suit your purposes.

How far before my event should I make my cake with fondant?
Q. How many days before the event should I decorate my cake with the fondant? Then, where should I store it (fridge, tupperware, ect):?
Asked by Dancer - Mon Aug 7 23:58:50 2006 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments

A. I think you would be safe 2-3 days before your event to decorate your cake with the fondant. You can also bake your cake well in advance and freeze it if you are under a time crunch. Once your cake is decorated .. store it in a cake holder/container in a cool & dry location.
