SynonymsFrom Wiktionary under the GNU Free Documentation License. In mathematics, an injective function is a function that preserves distinctness: it never maps distinct elements of its domain to the same element of its codomain. In other words, every element of the function's codomain is mapped to by at most one element of its domain. If in addition all of the elements in the codomain are in fact mapped to by some element of the domain, then the function is said to be bijective (see figures). An injective function is called an injection, and is also said to be a one-to-one function (not to be confused with one-to-one correspondence, i.e. a bijective function). Occasionally, an injective function from X to Y is denoted f: X ↣ Y, using an arrow with a barbed tail. Alternately, it may be denoted Y using a notation derived from that used for falling factorial powers, since if X and Y are finite sets with respectively x and y elements, the number of injections X ↣ Y is y (see the twelvefold way). A function f that is not injective is sometimes called many-to-one. (However, this terminology is also sometimes used to mean "single-valued", i.e., each argument is mapped to at most one value; this is the case for any function, but is used to stress the opposition with multi-valued functions, which are not true functions.) A monomorphism is a generalization of an injective function in category theory. From Wikipedia under the

A and B are both wrong --- you know it It is very obvious So what makes you hold on to one of those wrongs --- the argument that yours is less wrong than the other guy --- which prevents you from exploring option C which could be "right" or at least even less wrong than A or B ? Asked by Trout - Sat Aug 28 17:51:51 2010 - - 8 Answers - 0 Comments A. I may have been stuck with a perception of maintaining an a or b position per your inquiry in the past. But, I've been striving for an alternate POV other than just c, for over a decade now. Stubborn reticence probably captivates and holds most people hostage to corrosive ideologies, like extremist regressive and authoritarian mind-sets who have maintained a death-grip on ruining things with more narrow-minded bad ideas that perpetually prevent things that are already broken, from ever being fixed. The solution to broken things isn't to break it harder than it already is. But that's the political catch-22 American politics is being held hostage by. 2 identical parties pandering to the opposite extreme of the spectrum, promising… [cont.] Answered by Precipice of Delayed Reaction - Sun Aug 29 00:26:36 2010 How does one submit an idea for a movie to a studio? Q. I'm not looking to find an agent and go that route. It really is more of just something to try so I can say I did. Though I would like it if someone at least opens the letter and views it. I don't care if they send it to the shredder. I was thinking of writing a letter, signing it, then have a friend sign it as a witness. Such that if something ever did develop, I'd have prior art. Would a letter need to be sent certified mail, return receipt? Would movie studios just return any letter unopened? It is not any sort of A run movie, so something like Lion's Gate might be a target (who else?). Any genuine help would be appreciated. I don't have a script nor do I plan to write one. Asked by Thundercat - Fri Oct 13 14:35:15 2006 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments A. Ok, firstly they won't touch anything that doesn't have liability/copyright insurance. The Writer's Guild of America can help you copyright your script. That brings us to your script. you need one, a finished one. Doesn't have to be perfect, many studios may want it edited anyway but they need a finished draft to work with. In film script format is ideal, on binded A4 although last year at Cannes a guy published his as an A5 booklet and many people took it. But for a pitch you'll want the thing in traditional A4 Then you need a pitch. Phone studios or write or email. Phone an individual. Do your research and find out who is in charge of booking writers/producers for new ideas. They will be public figures and their names should be… [cont.] Answered by jleslie4585 - Fri Oct 13 14:53:20 2006 Is it bad to eat only one meal a day?
