What is the best way to keep paperwork organized?
Q. OK. I must be kinda organized because I actually get bills paid etc. BUT my whole life I have never been able to come up with a system for keeping the ongoing stream of paperwork organized as it comes in. It ends up in these sedimentary layers. Since I have a school-age child the paperwork has increased about tenfold. Any tips? I have folders and file boxes but I cannot seem to find a "system" for using them - like how often to organize or how to sort. I think I over-think it and give up.

A. Keep a shredder by the front door or where ever you drop your mail. Shred the junk immediately so it doesn't have to be handled again. The main thing to keep track of are bills. I like having a pigeon hole type of set up where upcoming bills to be paid go. Put the bills in order of when they'r coming due so the closest to being paid goes on top (or to the right etc). There are some that have slots numbered for the dates of the month so you can see at a glance if any due dates are coming up. I have 2 file drawers in my desk that I keep long term records in hanging files.. car repairs etc/ warranties/manuals etc. Kids school paperwork would do well there too. What's the difference between organized religion and cults?
Q. I'm doing a paper on the differences between organized religions of the world and cults. As I make the finishing touches to my paper, I decided to get a few opinions. So, if you'd like, just give your opinion - as brief or long as you like. :)

A. By strictest definition there is NO difference - a cult IS an organized religion. However it has become a social/religious norm and tendency to target "other" religions that one does not like, approve of or who's doctrine are diametrically opposed to what yours is - as 'cults'. Somehow people seem to feel BETTER about themselves & their own theological standpoint if they can point & name call others as being in a CULT but THEY are not. IMO - a CULT (from a negative standpoint) is a highly organized group that is single mindedly set up to isolate, lure, manipulate and coerce a person or group of people into submission, devotion and to believe SOLELY and without equivocationn in ONE MAN who claims divine authority or godliness. What is a good way to keep organized during the school year?
Q. I tend to lose track of my homework and other items due to a messy desk and locker! I could really use some tips on keeping my school life organized while still managing to have time for friends and sports too. I'm not very good at making time for my homework at all! A. You'll find out specifically what you need for each class on the first day, but here are some tips to keep that organized. For binders, if your teacher wants you to use dividers, use them. Make sure everything in your binder is in its proper section; don't let papers pile up in the front pocket. If you do slip something into the front pocket instead of filing it in its proper section immediately, make sure you file it as soon as possible.
